Massage therapy and Inner Rhythms’ Roots~
After high school I studied and received an associates degree in culinary Arts at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, RI. However, in late 1998, I began the recovery process from a whiplash injury I sustained from a car accident. After my accident, a couple years of neglect went by but one day I started to practice yoga and meditation. I had been in a really low mental and emotional point in my life and I knew I needed to change my situation. Slowly I became curious and intrigued by the art and practice of energy and spiritual healing. Thus, my life’s passion began to shift to one of being on a personal journey of self healing.
Over time I was able to develop the ability to visualize more clearly the root issues of where and why pain lived in my body. Dis-ease in the body was rooted just as much in mental/emotional problems as much as it was in the physical. This was a new concept for me at the time. Since then, that path has destined me to where I am now. At present, my experiences through touch and intuition has allowed me to sense pain patterns in others, too.
The hospitality industry has always been my main career, however in 2010, I began to hone my new massage skills part-time at a day spa in Barrington, NH before setting up my practice here in Concord in the back of a hair salon. I was inspired to open Inner Rhythms in response to an evolving appreciation of energy healing techniques and various body therapies. In April of 2012, after a lot of construction and upgrading, Inner Rhythms Massage Center on South State St. was open for business! I have recently downsized and moved my business to Pleasant St.
I feel humbled from the overwhelming positive feedback from clients and from helping others connect to their inner rhythm. In life, we all have many things we juggle on a day to day basis. Taking the time to invest in oneself and to gift back to our bodies not only benefits you, but the people in your life who depend on you being strong! Being at the top of your game gives you enormous strength to deal with what life places in your path. Part of my mission and purpose is to assist clients in becoming aware of how powerful they are and that my work provides vital tools in maintaining balance and quality of life. The more time you invest in yourself, the more successful you can be in every area of your life. I realize I’m offering massage therapy and don’t claim to heal your problems, but providing the mind and body with energy based touch absolutely benefits you much more that just feeling relaxed because of the releasing a few knots in your neck and shoulders.
Designing an aesthetic for my business has provided me with the fun opportunity to express my creativity in a way that I have never done before. In my mind I put myself in the consumer’s position, I asked, “What would I want my experience to be?” So this is what I began to envision.. I wanted a space which has a warm, relaxed and also inspired presence to it. As one entered they are delighted with a unique texture and calming effect. As you looked around your senses were entertained and one felt as if you could sit for hours. Each section of the space was tied together to form a palate of rich color, inspired art work and warm earthy effects. Check out my “virtual tour” page and see for yourself.
I am humbly grateful for all of my clients and I look forward to what the future brings! Please come and visit us soon!
